Ek Bar Mooskura Do (Smile once) is a 1972 Bollywood drama film directed by Ram Mukherjee. The film stars Joy Mukherjee, Tauja and Dev Mukherjee. Film story is a man and a woman are in love with each other and dream of living together, but her father puts an obstacle in their path.

Dilip and Ashok are childhood friends. Ashok is a rich business man while Dilip is doing odd jobs. Dilip falls in love with Mala and both want to get married soon. But Mala’s father is against the relationship. He tells Dilip that to marry his daughter he should reach their status. Dilip works hard and earns name and fame. But upon his return he is shocked to see Mala is already married to Ashok.

Film is an emotional, romantic film crafted with excellence by director. Film story is beautiful. It is home production of Mukherjiees, Excellent perfoemance by all the actors. Dev Mukherji trufully portraits a failure lover. He has got more opprtunities acting as a hero rather than villain.

O. P. Nayyar’s hit music was one of the plus point of film. Lyrics were written bt S. H. Bihari, Indeevar and Shevan Rizvi. All the songs of the film were enjoyable. “Tu Auron Ki Kyun Ho Gayi” is considered one of his best, heart touching songs.

“Roop Tera Aisa Darpan Mein Na Samay Khushboo Tere Tan Ki Madhuban Mein Na Samay” words are beautifully sung by this song from Kishore Kumar in such a cool way that he can’t beat it. This song is picturized on Joy Mukherjee and Tanuja. The poet has praised the beauty of a woman in this song. Composer O.P. Nayyar has also mastered the alchemy of changing the pace of the next distance. All the songs of ‘Ek Baar Mushar Do’ (except one song) were recorded in the voice of Kishore Kumar.
